When we last updated you, we let you into a little secret - we're refurbishing the front of house and bar.
Well, that work has started. Today we saw the carpet and part of the bar removed from the venue. It's a pretty big day for us after being away from the theatre for 72 weeks! And what do you know, the first thing we do after coming back into the building is to begin tearing it apart.
But it's all for a good reason. It will make a little more space behind the bar, create a bright and welcoming area with more space for our visitors and will really freshen up the place. It's been a long time since we made any changes there and, when we reopen the doors to our audiences in October, we want it to look better than ever.
We thought we'd share with you a little glimpse of what's happened today.
This week we're planning to do some painting and, if the wood arrives, building a new counter for the front of the bar.
