The Lantern Theatre is Sheffield’s oldest and smallest theatre, and is proud to host new and unique drama from some of the country’s boldest theatre companies, as well as live music, comedy, and film. Resident at the Lantern are the Dilys Guite Players who produce four plays a year as well as their New Directions and New Writing festivals.

Ticket sales are handled by our booking agent - TicketSource. They can be bought on the internet 24 hours a day and you are able to select your seats. A £1.50 booking fee is payable on all card transactions made on-line or in person at the box office. Cash transactions are not charged a fee at the box office. You can also select to receive either an eTicket (free), mobile ticket (50p) or postal tickets (£1.50).

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm
  • Saturday 9am – 5pm.

Telephone bookings through TicketSource carry an additional £1.50 telephone service fee and include printed tickets which will be posted out if time allows. You can also book in person at the theatre on Wednesday and Friday between 12pm and 6pm and our in theatre box office number (0114 255 1776) is available at these times (at all other times an answering machine is active).

SOLD OUT indicates that all seats have gone but our wheelchair space may still be available. Please contact our box office to confirm, if you require that space.
